The 18 month project You’ll Never Walk Alone! is related with outdoor sports and social inclusion of immigrant and refugee families. Currently, Europe is challenging with economic, legal and social issues about migrants and refugees. They are looking for solutions how migrants and refugees can be successfully integrated into local communities are not short-term. The third aspect the challenge of social integration – is of particular interest when it comes to sport.
The overall aim of the project is to ensure the social inclusion of refugee and immigrant families through trekking and outdoor sports. To organize awareness-raising activities on the value of sport and physical activity in relation to the personal, social and professional development of individuals.
Specific objectives of the project are:
• to ensure local sport stakeholders are aware of the situation of migrants and refugees and play a role in facilitating integration;
• to develop a digital guide showing trekking trails and maps which people will get information about sport resources and interact with local people;
• to organize trekkings for immigrant and refugee families to support their social inclusion
• to encourage the participation of adult women refugees in particular to sport activities.
The project will be conducted by organizations from Poland, France and Belgium in 4 WP. There will be 4 tTPMs and 3 trekking organizations.
With the project a digital guide showing trekking trails and maps will be prepared and a mobile app. version will be developed. With these inonative approach, project will add value to European projects.
Increased pyhsical activities, awareness about trekking and outdoor sports, social inclusion of immigrants and refugee families, more included adult women are some of the expected results of the project. of the project. Sport, with its nature, has a great impact in people’s life. And we, partner countries want to use this tool in social inclusion.
