MOBAD Joins VITALITY: A New Erasmus+ Sport Project Supporting Women’s Health and Resilience

We are pleased to announce that MOBAD is a partner in the newly funded Erasmus+ Sport project VITALITY – “Strengthening Disadvantaged Women’s Health and Resilience via Culturally Adapted Physical Activity Toolkit.”

Funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Sport programme, VITALITY brings together organisations from Norway, Poland, and Türkiye to support women from low-income, migrant, and refugee backgrounds in building healthier, more active, and more resilient lives.

🌍 Why VITALITY?

Across Europe, many women continue to face economic, cultural, and social barriers to participating in physical activity. Limited access to affordable programmes, language barriers, cultural expectations, and a lack of inclusive spaces can significantly reduce opportunities to engage in regular exercise and healthy lifestyles.

VITALITY responds to these challenges by making physical activity more accessible, culturally adapted, inclusive, and empowering.

What Does VITALITY Aim to Achieve?

The project focuses on health, inclusion, empowerment, and community building, with key objectives including:

  • 🏃‍♀️ Improving physical literacy and awareness among sedentary women through accessible and culturally adapted resources.
  • 🤝 Building community support systems through workshops, peer networks, and online engagement.
  • 📚 Developing a multilingual physical literacy toolkit featuring practical exercise guidance, traditional movement practices, and well-being resources.
  • 🌱 Encouraging sustainable healthy habits by combining physical activity with mindfulness and mental well-being approaches.
  • 🧭 Strengthening local cooperation and community networks to create impact that continues beyond the project period.

VITALITY also contributes to wider European priorities related to health promotion, gender equality, social inclusion, and health-enhancing physical activity.

🤝 A European Partnership

VITALITY is implemented by a complementary international consortium:

  • 🇳🇴 FURIM Institutt – Norway | Coordinator
Bringing expertise in social innovation, inclusive sport education, and research-based health promotion.
  • 🇵🇱 MOBAD – Poland | Partner
Contributing grassroots engagement strategies and practical experience in community-based sport and European cooperation.
  • 🇹🇷 Wellnesstech – Türkiye | Partner
Supporting the integration of digital tools, mindfulness components, and interactive learning resources.

As MOBAD, we are delighted to contribute our experience and expertise to this European collaboration and to work alongside our partners in developing practical and inclusive solutions for women and local communities.

How Will VITALITY Make a Difference?

Through a combination of digital innovation and community-driven activities, the project will:

  • Develop culturally sensitive physical activity solutions tailored to women’s needs.
  • Reach women who may be excluded from mainstream fitness and sport opportunities.
  • Promote accessible and low-cost exercise options that do not depend on expensive equipment.
  • Build peer-support networks that encourage long-term participation and behavioural change.
  • Support more inclusive approaches to physical activity at local and community level.

What’s Next?

Over the course of the project, VITALITY will implement activities including:

  • Local and international workshops,
  • Digital awareness and dissemination campaigns,
  • Development and pilot testing of the VITALITY Toolkit,
  • Creation of peer-support networks,
  • Community engagement and activities supporting sustainable impact.

Throughout the process, the consortium will work closely with target groups and local communities to ensure that the resources developed are practical, accessible, relevant, and sustainable.

Follow the VITALITY Journey

At MOBAD, we believe that physical activity can be much more than movement. It can be a powerful tool for empowerment, connection, well-being, and social inclusion.

We look forward to sharing the progress of VITALITY, including upcoming activities, workshops, project resources, and opportunities to get involved.

Stay tuned for more updates from the project!
